Shayla He is an HMMA nominated singer-songwriter and a 2023 National YoungArts winner in Voice/Popular (Pop). She is currently a college student living in California.

She started vocal training at nine when she began auditioning and playing featured roles in the Bay Area. She was Shanti in Disney’s Jungle Book, Gretl Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, and got her dream role as Elsa in Disney’s Frozen Jr.

One summer when she turned ten, she began to write her own songs and recorded her 1st original song, “Jump to the Sky”. Later that year, she sang that song at the NATS Bay Area Singing Festival and won 1st place.

Shayla had won awards locally and internationally. She was named a 2023 National YoungArts winner in Voice/Popular (Pop). In 2022, she was nominated for Original Recording of her song "Again" at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. She was also the 1st place winner at SF Bay Area NATS, Western Five States NATS, and Hal Leonard International Vocal Competition in classical, musical theater, and pop categories. In 2018, she appeared on China’s TV show “From Opinion to Future” Season 2, featuring 14 minutes of speech interspersed with singing in five languages and an interview. At the end of the show, she debuted her new original song “Who Will Come?” highlighting the plight of homeless people.

Shayla is intrigued by the power of music and its ability to communicate emotions and advocate for social changes. She would go on to work alongside industry professionals and release consecutive singles and her 1st album "Project A" themed Aspiration & Advocacy.

Her new singles are coming up in 2025. Follow her on Spotify, Instagram, and YouTube.
